About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Technology Project Manager to join our team at SAP. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for managing large-scale, high-risk, strategic projects that utilize SAP Next Generation solutions and innovative technology.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide leadership to cross-functional teams responsible for delivering defined project outputs to time, budget, and project quality criteria.
  • Manage SAP primed projects utilizing the SAP Field Services Project Management Methodology, which includes the proper use of methodology, tools, procedures, and governance to best meet project objectives.
  • Coordinate work between various parties, including third-party subcontractors, SAP Custom Development, and SAP Global Delivery.
  • Provide onsite presence for SAP as required to ensure effective project delivery.

Requirements

  • Above-average bachelor's or master's degree in computer science, natural science, or a related technical discipline.
  • Several years of relevant job experience, e.g., professional experience as an SAP (sub) project manager or SAP technical expert.
  • Proven experience in (part) project management in the SAP environment.
  • Intercultural business and team skills, preferred with experience in leading virtual teams.
  • Profound knowledge in at least one of the following technical domains: SAP infrastructure, integration, or development.
  • Solid knowledge about Cloud technology and migration concept from a technical perspective.
  • Ability to plan, run, and support workshops/meetings with internal and external clients.
  • Initial experience working with global delivery teams.
  • Fluent verbal and written communication, including presentation skills, in German and English.
  • Willingness to travel (national and international).

Desirable Qualifications

  • Experiences in upgrade/migration, provider transition, or global roll-out projects.
  • Experience with 'Rise with SAP' is considered an asset.
  • A project management certification like PMP or others is desirable.
  • Expert knowledge of SAP Activate implementation methodology and quality standards is advantageous.
  • Technology Certification(s) is(are) beneficial.
