Senior Backend Engineer (m/f/d)

About the role:

As a Senior Backend Engineer, you'll play a crucial role in advancing our digital pharmaceutical services. You'll work closely with our Prices and Offers Product team to develop new features, maintain micro-services, and extend backend services across various domains.

About your tasks:

  • Develop new features for our Prices and Offers Product team.
  • Support the team in maintaining important micro-services serving 11 million+ customers.
  • Extend and create new backend services that interact with internal and external applications.
  • Create and consume API endpoints based on defined contracts with colleagues.
  • Implement event-driven development with RabbitMQ for scalable, asynchronous communication between services.
  • Work on new features designed for high-performance and scalability.
  • Engage in open communication and feedback within the team.

About you:

  • You'll be a proactive and senior engineer who can make a genuine impact.
  • You have experience building services at scale with TypeScript and demonstrate proficiency with REST APIs and HTTP.
  • You enjoy designing and building new features from scratch, and you own your code end-to-end.
  • You're willing to work with different technologies, such as Java Services.
  • You possess a DevOps mindset, including use of Docker, Kubernetes, and CI/CD pipeline setup.
