About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and customer-focused Sales Associate to join our team at toom. As a Sales Associate, you will be responsible for providing excellent customer service, maintaining a high level of product knowledge, and achieving sales targets.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide friendly and knowledgeable customer service, answering questions and making recommendations on products
  • Process customer transactions accurately and efficiently
  • Maintain a high level of product knowledge, including features, benefits, and applications
  • Meet or exceed sales targets, identifying opportunities to upsell and cross-sell products
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues to achieve team goals and objectives

Requirements

  • Previous retail sales experience, preferably in a building materials or hardware environment
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet sales targets
  • Basic math skills and accuracy with handling cash and operating a point-of-sale system
  • Availability to work a variety of shifts, including weekends and holidays
