About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Payroll Specialist to join our team at Evonik. As a key member of our HR department, you will be responsible for ensuring the accurate and timely processing of payroll for our employees in Germany.

Key Responsibilities

  • Technical adjustment of payroll processing in Germany due to legal, tariff, and company requirements
  • Support of Evonik's long-term accounts and pension models, including administration, conception of further developments, payroll processing, and target specifications for evaluation programs and account statements
  • Support for the Centric audit tools MADAP/PLK/PLX, including design of audit rules, implementation, functional testing, documentation, and updates
  • Advising the HR department on the feasibility of change and enhancement requests in the area of Payroll Germany
  • Development of solution approaches for change and function enhancements in Payroll DE and their realization
  • Participation in overarching HR IT projects in the area of M&A and carve-out activities, including conception, implementation, and monitoring of payroll-related issues and necessary data transfers
  • Coordination of technically or professionally initiated changes with an impact on processes with a focus on Germany

Requirements

  • Successfully completed studies in (business) informatics or a comparable qualification or comparable practical experience
  • Several years of experience in the SAP HCM environment with a focus on payroll accounting, quality assurance, and pension models (e.g. long-term account)
  • Good knowledge of collective bargaining regulations, ideally in the chemical industry, as well as the legal framework for HR
  • Desirable experience in project management in a national and ideally international environment
  • Very good German and ideally good written and spoken English skills
