Role OverviewAs a Software Security Architect, you will play a crucial role in establishing and overseeing the application of security policies, best practices, and processes related to software security for our innovative OuterNETTM. This position requires close collaboration with both the Software Team and Security Architects to ensure robust security measures are integrated into our software development lifecycle.
Key ResponsibilitiesSecurity Policies:
- Develop a comprehensive code of conduct emphasizing security awareness and compliance for developers.
- Establish access controls to safeguard sensitive code repositories and development environments.
- Define protocols for handling sensitive data throughout the development process, including guidelines for encryption and protection.
- Create an incident response strategy to address security incidents during the development phase.
Best Practices:
- Implement secure coding standards to minimize vulnerabilities.
- Conduct regular code reviews to proactively identify and resolve security issues.
- Maintain and update third-party dependencies to mitigate known vulnerabilities.
- Ensure robust authentication and authorization mechanisms are in place.
- Apply the principle of least privilege in the development environment.
- Identify vulnerabilities and recommend remediation actions at various development stages.
- Integrate security considerations into the DevOps pipeline for automated testing and continuous monitoring.
- Provide ongoing security training for developers to keep them informed of the latest threats and best practices.
- Ensure secure management and auditing of configurations for servers and databases.

- Incorporate threat modeling during the design phase to identify and mitigate potential security risks.
- Establish a robust vulnerability management process for timely identification and remediation of security vulnerabilities.
- Develop a secure release management process to ensure only thoroughly tested code is deployed.
- Implement continuous monitoring to detect and respond to security incidents in real-time.
- Conduct regular compliance audits to align development processes with industry regulations.
- A degree in Computer Science, Cyber Security, or a related field.
- Over 8 years of experience in Cyber Security, Information Security, or IT security.
- At least 5 years of experience focused on software security.
- Strong understanding of software development methodologies with a focus on security.
- Familiarity with programming tools and methodologies for security analysis.
- Experience with source code analysis tools and security testing methodologies.
- Knowledge of Cyber Security Frameworks such as NIST CSF and ISO 27000+.
- Proficient in written and spoken English.
