Intensive Care Nursing Specialist

Position Overview
We are seeking dedicated professionals to contribute to our innovative multidisciplinary team within a state-of-the-art intensive care environment. Our unit not only provides care for patients in the surgical intensive care setting but also manages inter-hospital transfers via ground and air, and deploys resuscitation teams as needed. Charité is at the forefront of integrating advanced medical technologies in our intensive care units, including our pilot program for the Intensive Care Room of the Future, which emphasizes noise reduction, optimal lighting, and ceiling projections.
As part of your professional development, you will engage in practical training on the ward while receiving up-to-date, evidence-based knowledge through four theoretical modules totaling 160 hours as part of our specialization and advanced training programs (SpeFa).
- Our surgical intensive care unit is a center of excellence for treating patients across various surgical disciplines and serves as an ARDS competence center, utilizing cutting-edge procedures such as ECMO.
- We oversee the affiliated PACU (post-anesthesia care unit).
- Structured onboarding is provided to meet your individual needs within a supportive and friendly team.

Desired Qualifications
- Completion of training in healthcare and (pediatric) nursing or as a nursing specialist.
- Practical experience in intensive care is preferred, though we welcome candidates new to the field.
- Further training in anesthesia and intensive care, or a comparable academic qualification, is advantageous, and we support ongoing education.
- Proficiency in Office software is required.
- A strong commitment to quality and responsibility, along with a professional understanding of nursing, is essential.
- A passion for working in an interdisciplinary team focused on patient well-being is important.
