Nikolauspflege – Stiftung für blinde und sehbehinderte Menschen is a foundation that provides assistance to blind, visually impaired, and individuals with additional disabilities of all age groups.
Job DescriptionWe are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Care Specialist to join our team at Haus am Schloss in Stuttgart-Stammheim. As a Care Specialist, you will be responsible for supporting and empowering a group of 7-8 clients with visual impairments and additional disabilities to live independently and participate fully in society.
Key Responsibilities:- Provide personalized care and support to clients, including daily living activities, personal care, and mobility assistance.
- Develop and implement individualized care plans that cater to the unique needs and goals of each client.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, social workers, and therapists to ensure comprehensive care and support.
- Assist clients with daily tasks, such as meal preparation, medication management, and household chores.
- Encourage clients to participate in activities that promote independence, socialization, and community engagement.
- Completed education in a relevant field, such as nursing, social work, or healthcare.
- Experience working with visually impaired and disabled individuals, preferably in a care or support setting.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with clients, colleagues, and families.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a flexible and adaptable approach to meet the changing needs of clients.
- Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills, with a focus on client-centered care and empowerment.
