Job Summary:
Chery Europe GmbH is seeking a highly skilled Senior Vehicle Energy Efficiency Engineer to join our Engineering Center in Raunheim, near Frankfurt. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for developing and implementing energy efficiency strategies for our European vehicles.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement EU-specific energy efficiency targets and strategies
- Provide support and recommendations for Chery's EU CO2 and PT strategy
- Run detailed benchmarking of competing models and brands in Europe
- Monitor and analyze new energy efficiency improvement technologies and strategies
- Manage development projects with third-party suppliers and engineering service suppliers in Europe
- Collaborate closely with development teams in our R&D centers in Wuhu & Shanghai (China) and the Europe market-related subsidiaries (Marketing, Sales, Quality)
Requirements:
- Master's degree in Vehicle Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Energy Engineering, or a comparable background
- Significant experience (>3 years) in a similar position for vehicle energy efficiency and consumption development (BEV, PHEV, ICE)
- Ability to balance vehicle and system targets to achieve regulatory compliance and high customer acceptance
- Profound knowledge of emissions regulations (WLTP, RDE, ISC)
- Good knowledge of PT test, application, and simulation tools
- Valid European driving license and willingness to travel
- Pro-active and self-motivated attitude
- Good communication and computer skills (MS Office, etc.)
- Fluency in English; Mandarin skills advantageous
