Postdoctoral Researcher in Epigenetics

We are seeking a highly motivated Postdoctoral Researcher to join our team at Helmholtz Zentrum München. As a Postdoctoral Researcher, you will be responsible for implementing a combination of approaches to investigate epigenetic mechanisms and their role in gene expression programs in single cells.

About the Position

The successful candidate will have a strong background in epigenetics and/or chromatin biology, with experience in techniques such as ChIP-seq, RNA-seq, and single cell approaches. You will be working in a vibrant scientific environment with access to cutting-edge facilities and a strong community of researchers.

Responsibilities
  • Implement a combination of approaches to investigate epigenetic mechanisms and their role in gene expression programs in single cells
  • Develop and apply novel single cell technologies to study epigenetic regulation
  • Collaborate with the Schneider group to advance our understanding of epigenetic mechanisms
Requirements
  • PhD in biology or a related field
  • Experience in at least 2 of the following: Chromatin or RNA biochemistry, ChIP-seq and RNA-seq techniques, Single cell approaches, RNA modifications, Mammalian tissue culture and cell manipulation
  • Fluency in English
