Education Program Assistant 2

This recruitment will be used to fill one full-time Education Program Assistant 2 position for the Division of Extension and Engagement's Family and Community Health Program at Oregon State University (OSU). This position is located in Salem, Oregon.
About the PositionThis bilingual Education Program Assistant 2 (EPA2) position is with the Extension Family and Community Health program (affiliated with OSU's College of Health). This EPA2 serves Marion County and is based at the OSU Extension Marion County office in Salem, Oregon.
Key Responsibilities- Collaborate with faculty to determine overall program goals and objectives.
- Deliver non-credit educational programs (in Spanish and English) using OSU Extension Service SNAP-Ed approved curricula, materials and information.
- Develop written materials and activities to supplement curriculum as requested.
- Develop and initiate program changes with the input of state and county program coordinators.
- Conduct educational presentations at fairs and community events.
- Provide classroom management practices as necessary.
- Deliver programming in a hybrid (virtual/in person) format.
- Associate's Degree and three years of work experience (paid or volunteer) supporting community programs that serve children, youth or adults OR Bachelor's Degree and one year of work experience (paid or volunteer) one year of which must be working in youth development programs, adult education, teaching, program delivery or related functions OR Five years experience in a field related to the duties of the position AND a high school diploma or equivalent.
- Demonstrated oral and written communication skills.
- Demonstrated skill to work with diverse audiences.
- Demonstrated skill to use computers for word processing, data management, and communications.
- Minimum of two (2) years' experience/education (paid or volunteer) relevant to nutrition education or related health community programs that serve children, youth, and adults.
- Experience with limited income audiences or people or groups experiencing disadvantages, who have historically been excluded.
- Ability to provide excellent customer service to a broad and diverse group of people with varying backgrounds, needs, and identities.
- Ability to learn and adapt to using multiple forms of digital communication systems, including websites, email newsletters, social media, and other tools in a changing technological environment.
Access to a vehicle is necessary as duties will require driving/travel to various sites in counties served to deliver non-credit programs and transporting curriculum materials. Business mileage will be reimbursed based on OSU policies.
