Job Title: IT Security Administrator

Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled IT Security Administrator to join our team at SOBIS Software GmbH. As a key member of our IT department, you will be responsible for ensuring the security and integrity of our systems and networks.
Key Responsibilities:
- System Administration: Administer and maintain Linux systems, primarily Debian and related derivatives, to ensure optimal performance and security.
- Security Enhancement: Continuously enhance existing security concepts and procedures to protect against emerging threats.
- Infrastructure Design: Collaborate with the team to design and implement secure hardware and software infrastructure.
- Process Improvement: Participate in the continuous improvement of internal processes to ensure efficiency and effectiveness.
- Customer Support: Provide second-level support to customers and address IT-related issues in a timely and professional manner.
- Monitoring and Troubleshooting: Monitor and troubleshoot infrastructure issues, including emergency management and incident response.
Requirements:
- Education: Degree in Computer Science or a relevant field.
- Language Skills: Proficiency in English (B2 level).
- Experience: Experience in server administration, particularly with Linux/Debian.
- Security Knowledge: Knowledge of intrusion detection and prevention tools, such as Security Onion and Snort.
- Networking: Understanding of virtualized networking and network infrastructure, including routing, firewalling, and VPN.
- Security Mindset: A 'security first' mindset and a willingness to collaborate with the team.
Preferred Skills:
- Container Technologies: Experience with container technologies, such as Docker and Kubernetes.
- Configuration Automation: Knowledge of configuration automation tools, such as Ansible and Puppet.
- Scripting: Scripting experience with languages like bash and Python.
- Network Configuration: Experience with switch and firewall configuration, including HP, Cisco, Sophos, and Pfsense.
