Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Thin Film Process Engineer to join our team at Bertrandt. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for the development and execution of SiC thin film processes.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement manufacturing process flows for SiC power components related to thin film process modules.
  • Lead the resolution of quality problems in a timely manner and ensure smooth manufacturing during ramp-up, pre-production, and production phases.
  • Monitor and follow up on engineering processes in case of drifts, taking corrective actions to solve issues and analyze process data.
  • Ensure product reliability evaluation in your area of process expertise.
  • Improve product yield and tackle major challenges within your scope of responsibility.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree or above in semiconductor physics, microelectronics, materials, chemistry, or a similar discipline within the semiconductor industry.
  • Over 10 years of experience working on semiconductor thin film introduction or development, with fab experience in SiC and silicon product introduction or production preferred.
  • Familiarity with SiC process flow, manufacturing process, and characterization techniques is preferred.
  • Experience with semiconductor material processing, preferably for power devices development.
  • Knowledge of measurement methods and techniques for materials and process results evaluation.
  • Successful mass production experience in leading factories in the industry is highly beneficial.
  • Hands-on mentality and open mind-set for cross-culture working settings.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills in English, with German and/or Chinese a plus.
  • Open to international business trips or delegations.
