The Valeo VIE Program

The Valeo VIE Program is a unique opportunity for young professionals from the European Economic Area to work for one of our subsidiaries around the world. This program is designed to provide valuable work experience and international exposure, while also supporting the development of our global business.

Job Description

We are seeking a highly motivated and organized individual to join our team as a VIE Logistic Projects Support. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for coordinating logistics projects, optimizing material flow, and supporting our sales, inventory, and operations planning processes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Set up and maintain a packaging database to manage customer and supplier trays, track material received and sent out, and monitor project progress.
  • Work with our team to optimize layout and improve material flow within the plant, ensuring efficient operations and minimizing waste.
  • Participate in weekly SIOP meetings to discuss sales, inventory, and operations planning, and provide input on logistics and supply chain matters.
  • Prepare forecasts and disposition of material to ensure timely delivery and minimize stockouts.
  • Monitor backlog and late supplier deliveries, implementing early warning systems to prevent delays and ensure smooth operations.

Requirements

  • Engineering degree or relevant Bachelor's degree in Logistics or a related field.
  • First experience in the relevant field, such as internships or work-study programs.
  • Proficiency in English (B2 level) and German (B1 level) languages.
  • Basic knowledge of MS Office and SAP, with a willingness to learn and adapt to new systems.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills, with a focus on attention to detail and quality.
  • International mindset, with a willingness to learn from and adapt to new cultures and ways of working.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with a focus on building relationships and collaborating with colleagues.
