Amer Sports is in search of a seasoned (Senior) PMO Consultant to manage the IT project portfolio across our brands and group functions. This position plays a vital role in establishing and promoting best practices, implementing the PMO methodology and toolset throughout the organization, and assisting senior leadership in strategic decision-making. The ideal candidate will enhance the execution of IT initiatives through enforced methodologies and standards, ensuring comprehensive and consistent management reporting.
Key Responsibilities- IT Project Portfolio Oversight: Manage the IT project portfolio for designated brands and group functions, ensuring accountability and adherence to best practices.
- Implementation of PMO Methodology: Deploy PMO methodology and toolset organization-wide for efficient project portfolio reporting.
- Continuous Process Enhancement: Regularly refine and uphold the Amer IT PMO framework, integrating central best-practice processes and toolkits (e.g., MS Project, Jira, Testing tools).
- Performance Evaluation: Monitor and report on the performance of project teams, ensuring all IT project deliverables align with the business case and project quality standards.
- Support for Major Initiatives: Collaborate on significant projects and programs as a dedicated PMO consultant.
- Toolset Maintenance: Provide second-level support for the PMO toolkit and manage personal projects as required.
- Consultative Role: Evolve into an in-house consultant for comprehensive project management.
- At least 5 years of experience in IT project management or PMO-related roles.
- Strong understanding of software development methodologies and IT architecture.
- Exceptional presentation skills, both visual and verbal.
- Fluent in English communication.
- Proficient in MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Robust strategic, analytical, quantitative, and problem-solving abilities.
- Knowledge of technical systems and software development.
- Professional dedication and enthusiasm for advancing the PMO.
- Skills in IT project and portfolio management.
- Experience with Agile DevOps methodologies.
- Understanding of business processes across various functions such as Supply Chain Management, Marketing, Sales, and Finance.
- Consultative mindset to ensure effective project delivery and portfolio reporting.
