Data Center Inventory & Asset Technician Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Data Center Inventory & Asset Technician to join our team at Orizon GmbH, Niederlassung München Süd. As a key member of our logistics team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our data center inventory and asset management processes.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Inbound and Outbound Logistics:
    • Coordinate, prepare, and execute incoming/outgoing deliveries, including purchase order receiving and rack movement activities.
    • Apply appropriate customs documentation and standards for outbound packages.
    • Ensure complete and detailed physical inventory tracking and staging.
  • Customer Service:
    • Maintain a strong focus on understanding the impact of your work on customer satisfaction.
    • Ensure accurate completion of Inventory and Asset Management tasks, meeting company and industry standards.
    • Build strong working relationships with customers.
  • Inventory Management:
    • Maintain and steward up-to-date and accurate logical information within various inventory management systems.
    • Perform inventory cycle audits, data corrections, and regulatory compliance activities.
    • Ensure detailed physical inventory tracking and staging.
  • Warranty Process Management:
    • Engage suppliers to initiate warranty claims and process orders.
    • Process failed vendor hardware devices using online tools, including information processing, packaging, shipment, and receipt of return devices.
    • Follow Service Level Agreements related to RMA warranty process.
  • Data Bearing Device (DBD) Destruction:
    • Perform destruction of DBD following Service Level Agreements and Microsoft policies.
    • Ensure DBD serial number matches with database.
    • Coordinate with third-party vendors for DBD destruction as necessary.
Requirements:
  • High School Diploma and working experience in warehouse/supply chain in an IT environment, inventory management, retail, warehouse management, or a related field.
  • Working experience in warehouse/supply chain in an IT environment, IT, and/or logistics, operating heavy-load movement equipment for a large corporation.
  • Strong customer focus and written and spoken English skills.
