Fire Officer Leader

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Fire Officer Leader to join our team at U.S. Army Europe and Africa. As a Fire Officer Leader, you will be responsible for leading a team of firefighters and ensuring the safety of personnel and equipment at our airport fire station.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead a team of firefighters in emergency response situations, including fire fighting, rescue, and salvage operations.
  • Develop and implement emergency response plans and procedures to ensure the safety of personnel and equipment.
  • Collaborate with other emergency services, such as police and medical teams, to ensure a coordinated response to emergencies.
  • Conduct regular training and drills to ensure that team members are prepared for emergency situations.
  • Maintain accurate records of emergency response activities and team performance.
Requirements:
  • Minimum of 1 year of experience as a firefighter or in a related field.
  • Completed training in accordance with the guidelines of the US Forces Fire Prevention Program.
  • German certification as a basic firefighter (abgeschlossene Feuerwehrgrundausbildung, gemaess Feuerwehrdienstvorschrift 2 (FwDV2)).
  • Language proficiency level C1 in English and German.
Working Conditions:

The Fire Officer Leader will work in a fast-paced environment, responding to emergency situations and working in a team to ensure the safety of personnel and equipment. The position requires heavy physical effort, including lifting and carrying heavy equipment, and working in a variety of weather conditions.
