Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Project Manager to join our team at PCI Pharma Services. As a key member of our Clinical Distribution team, you will be responsible for managing assigned clinical customer projects to ensure timely and successful delivery.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage assigned clinical customer projects to ensure project goals and objectives are accomplished within the prescribed time frame, budget, and in accordance with customer expectations.
- Fill the role of Lead Project Manager for global clinical studies where required.
- Manage significant matters pertaining to assigned projects to provide the industry's leading customer experience, supporting PCI Clinical Service's long-term growth and success.
- Responsible for all activities associated with a Clinical Distribution project.
Key Skills and Qualifications
- Primary customer contact for distribution activities, including business, relationship, and customer expectation management matters.
- Prepare the Logistics Management Document as it pertains to the customer's specific study.
- Assist in the development of detailed pack construction to ensure that the packaging is designed in a way that allows for efficient storage and distribution.
- Coordinate project activity by leading the Distribution Project Team and through working closely with the Clinical Project Management team as well as internal and external customers.
- Interact with customers, vendors, and internal PCI colleagues to deliver service excellence and ensure performance expectations are met or exceeded on a consistent basis.
- Coordinate distribution activities from order receipt to shipment acknowledgement as per Logistics Management Document.
- Set up Returns processes and manage to include drug destruction, as per the Logistics Management Document.
- Manage project close-out activities.
- Facilitate the billing of all activities involved with distribution, returns, destruction, and project close-out activities.
- Coordinate customer visits and facilitate activities as per customer needs.
- Review quotes to ensure scope is appropriate. Initiate change orders where necessary. Monitor project budget and scope creep.
- Coach, mentor, and supervise the Associate Clinical Project Managers.
- Provide support to business development and estimation regarding new quotations and resupplies.
- Provide the client with the highest level of professionalism, quality of work, communication/responsiveness, and status of deliverables.
- This position may require overtime and/or weekend work.
- Knowledge of and adherence to all PCI, cGMP, and GCP policies, procedures, rules.
- Attendance to work is an essential function of this position.
- Perform other duties as assigned by Manager/Supervisor.
- The on-time, on-budget delivery of client projects to relevant standards.
- Reporting of Project Management metrics and KPI statistics as required.
- Provision of visibility of goods receipts, packaging, labeling, storage, and shipping requirements for all projects to internal departments.
- The active participation in improvements to departmental and cross-company procedures and systems.
- Excellent interpersonal skills to ensure a professional and courteous manner when dealing with external and internal customers.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills. German and English are a prerequisite.
- High flexibility or the ability to adapt, react quickly, and deal with change in a fast-paced environment.
