Job Summary

We are seeking a highly talented Software Engineering working student (Backend or Fullstack) to join our growing tech team. As a key member of our cross-functional team, you will implement backend or fullstack solutions for our customers, improving our Heartbeat App and the underlying backend services.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with product managers, designers, and developers to deliver high-quality software solutions
  • Discover, evaluate, implement, and deploy software solutions for our core customer-facing products
  • Maintain business-critical applications and ensure seamless user experience
  • Foster a culture of experiment-driven innovation within the team
  • Improve customer satisfaction by reducing tech debt, improving quality, and building software people love to use
Technologies Used
  • Backend: TypeScript, NestJS
  • Web Frontend (if you want to go Fullstack): React, TypeScript, Vercel
  • Mobile (if you want to go Fullstack): Flutter
  • Google Cloud Platform (Cloud Run, PubSub, CloudSQL, Firestore, BigQuery)
  • Datadog
  • Terraform
  • GitHub Actions
Requirements
  • Enrolled at a university and contributing 20 hours per week
  • Studying Computer Science or a comparable course of studies
  • First experience writing backend services with NestJS in TypeScript. Experience with React, Flutter, and other technologies is a plus
  • Passionate about writing maintainable, documented, reusable, and testable code
  • Finger on the pulse of software engineering trends and excited to learn industry best practices
  • Agile and result-oriented mindset, with a strong team player attitude
  • Very good written and spoken English skills. German is a plus
