Position Summary: We are seeking a skilled Biorepository Technician to join our team in Berlin. This role is essential in ensuring the integrity and management of biological samples.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee the monitoring of storage freezers
- Receive and process biological samples
- Maintain an accurate inventory of frozen biological specimens
- Retrieve samples from inventory as needed
- Conduct annual competency evaluations for repository personnel
- Label vials and shipping containers appropriately
- Coordinate preventative maintenance for repository equipment
- Stay updated on IATA shipping regulations and maintain necessary certifications
Qualifications:
The ideal candidate will demonstrate a high level of precision and quality in laboratory-related tasks, particularly in the cryopreservation of biological samples. A flexible team player who can adapt to changing priorities and respond to diverse repository requirements is essential. Relevant experience in clinical logistics, inventory management, and a background in biological sciences is preferred.
Candidates must possess the right to work in Germany without sponsorship and demonstrate effective communication skills in English.
