About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Python Developer to join our agile team at Checkmk GmbH. As a key member of our development team, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and testing new monitoring features for our hybrid IT monitoring software.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and develop new monitoring features for our cloud-native and traditional infrastructure monitoring software
  • Collaborate with customers to support the connection of new IoT devices, IT hardware, and software services
  • Maintain and improve our software to ensure high-quality performance and reliability
  • Work closely with our DevOps team to ensure seamless integration and deployment of new features
  • Participate in agile development practices, including TDD, CI, Pair Programming, Scrum, and Kanban
Requirements
  • Strong background in Python development, with experience in backend development
  • Good knowledge of Linux and open-source software
  • At least one year of professional experience in software development
  • Ideal candidate has a degree in computer science or a comparable training
  • Agile mindset and experience with agile development practices
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to grasp complex tasks
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with business fluent English
  • Ideal candidate has knowledge and experience with Git, Gerrit, Jenkins, pytest, Pylint, and JIRA
