Electrical and Mechanical Systems Technician

A100 ROW GmbH is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented individual to become a vital part of our Data Center Engineering Operations Team. The selected candidate will be responsible for the management and upkeep of the electrical and mechanical systems within our Data Centers.
Key Responsibilities:
- Safety Management: Uphold and promote exceptional safety standards, fostering a culture of safety across the facility. Collaborate with various teams to address safety risks and lead initiatives aimed at enhancing safety practices.
- Engineering and Facility Operations: Engage in the operational management of electrical and mechanical systems, including Uninterruptible Power Supplies (UPS), Switchgear, Circuit Breakers, Automatic Transfer Switches (ATS), Diesel Generators, Chillers, HVAC systems, Exhaust Fans, Variable Frequency Drives (VFD), and Transformers.
- Conduct routine inspections and log operational readings of all mechanical and electrical systems.
- Oversee contractors and Engineering Operations Technicians to ensure optimal performance and maintenance of facility equipment.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives by standardizing procedures and enhancing performance metrics.
- Facilitate training and mentorship for Engineering Operations Technicians and assist in recruitment efforts.
- Lead root cause analysis for operational challenges and coordinate with Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) to develop effective mitigation strategies.
Additional Requirements:
- Physical capability to handle and lift equipment in accordance with safety regulations.
- Willingness to work in shifts, including mornings, evenings, and nights.
- Participation in on-call rotation for emergency response.
Qualifications:
- Completion of an apprenticeship as an Electronics Technician/Electrician or equivalent training.
- Proficient in English, with a strong command of German preferred.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite and web-based operational tools.
- Experience with Change Management Systems (CMS) and Ticket Systems.
- Comprehensive knowledge of electrical and mechanical systems.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Extensive experience in Data Center engineering or related fields.
- Degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a relevant discipline.
- Familiarity with Building Management Systems (BMS) and Electrical Power Monitoring Systems (EPMS).
- Strong proficiency in both written and spoken English and German.
