Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled Environment Artist to join our team at THQ Nordic. As a key member of our art department, you will be responsible for creating high-quality, immersive environments that bring our games to life.
About the Role:
- Collaborate with concept artists, level designers, and other departments to design and build atmospheric environment assets that meet gameplay, performance, and usability standards.
- Work independently and as part of a team to deliver high-quality assets on time.
- Develop and maintain a deep understanding of our art pipeline and contribute to its evolution.
- Provide guidance and feedback to junior team members and contribute to a positive, inclusive team culture.
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices in environment art and 3D modeling.
Requirements:
- Proficiency in industry-standard tools such as Maya, Max, Blender, Substance, and ZBrush.
- Experience in creating assets to PBR standards and a strong understanding of art fundamentals.
- A portfolio showcasing your environment art skills and experience.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Fluency in written and spoken English.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience working with Unreal Engine 4/5 and other game engines.
- Proficiency in Houdini, SpeedTree, or other specialized software.
- Ability to relocate to Munich, Germany (for EU applicants) or work remotely (for external applicants).
