Risk Management Intern

As a clearing house, we provide fully automated post-trade services for derivatives, equities, bonds, secured funding & financing, and industry-leading risk management technologies.
Your Role:
As an intern within the Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) Section of EUREX Clearing AG's Risk Department, you will play a vital role in supporting our independent risk control function. This section is responsible for assessing, monitoring, and reporting on financial and non-financial risks, as well as Business Continuity Management.
Responsibilities:
- Gain valuable insights into Liquidity, Market, Credit, and Operational risk management practices.
- Assist in preparing reports for comprehensive risk measurement reporting.
- Contribute to the improvement of existing processes by reviewing concepts and identifying areas for enhancement.
- Participate in ad-hoc investigations related to market, business, or regulatory changes impacting the team.
- Attend selected meetings, contribute to discussions, take minutes, and gain exposure to topical issues.
- Monitor daily liquidity risk metrics and report any breaches or significant developments.
- Consolidate data to design a risk dashboard and refine reconciliation procedures.
Your Profile:
- Enrolled as a regular student at a state-recognized university, having completed at least 4 semesters. Your studies should focus on finance, IT, mathematics, physics, economics, business studies, or a related field.
- Ideally, you have prior practical experience gained through an internship in the finance or risk management sector.
- Demonstrate a genuine interest in capital market topics.
- Possess strong independent work ethic, responsibility, and creative thinking abilities to quickly grasp new concepts and resolve challenges.
- Exhibit excellent proficiency in MS Office Suite, particularly MS Excel, MS Word, and MS PowerPoint.
- Familiarity with data analysis tools is a plus.
