Housekeeping Attendant Location: Grafenwoehr, Germany Who May Apply?

This position is open to:

- Current internal local national employees within Germany, including those working for the U.S. Air Force and AAFES-Europe.
- External local national applicants residing in Germany.

This role is funded through nonappropriated funds.

Key Responsibilities

The Housekeeping Attendant will be responsible for a variety of cleaning tasks, which may include:

- Sweeping, vacuuming, mopping, scrubbing, and waxing floors using appropriate cleaning equipment.
- Disinfecting and deodorizing restrooms, including cleaning mirrors, sinks, and water fountains.
- Dusting furniture and fixtures, replenishing supplies such as toilet paper, towels, and soap.
- Reporting maintenance issues to supervisors, including broken windows and plumbing problems.
- Cleaning various areas including storerooms, corridors, and stairways, ensuring a hygienic environment.
- Performing window and wall cleaning, including high surfaces that require ladders.
- Making beds and changing linens in living quarters, ensuring cleanliness and order.
- Maintaining an inventory of cleaning supplies and notifying supervisors when restocking is necessary.
- Completing additional tasks as assigned.

Qualifications

Applicants should meet the following criteria:

- Education & Training Level I: No prior experience required, although one year of relevant experience in hospitality, service, or office environments is preferred for those not meeting this level.
- Language proficiency in English and German at A1 level is required.

Employment Conditions


- This is a temporary part-time position (30 hours per week) until the return of the permanent incumbent.
- Availability to work on weekends, holidays, and during peak periods is essential.
- Ability to lift and carry items weighing up to 40 lbs is required.
