We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Logistics Operations Manager to lead our FVL International transport team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for overseeing transportation plans by road, rail, and short-sea out of automotive factories in Central Europe.
Key Responsibilities- Transportation Planning: Develop and implement transportation plans to ensure efficient and effective movement of goods.
- Issue Resolution: Proactively identify and resolve issues that may impact ship-out targets, including the development of new routes.
- Rail Network Design: Collaborate with stakeholders to design and optimize the rail network to meet mid-term targets.
- Team Leadership: Enhance the working environment, support individual and department growth, and foster collaboration within and across teams.
- Target Setting: Set, cascade, and monitor department targets and KPIs; implement countermeasures when necessary.
- Reporting and Review: Simplify and automate reporting processes; conduct reviews with suppliers and customers.
- Customer Relationships: Build and maintain strong customer relationships to boost sales and satisfaction; promptly address inquiries and concerns to maintain loyalty.
- Collaboration: Collaborate with sales teams to identify growth opportunities and coordinate with logistics to streamline processes, minimize delays, and optimize shipping data.
- Operational Oversight: Monitor and track ship-out volumes and stock levels in various locations to ensure targets and operational flexibility are met.
- Background: Preferred background in Finished Vehicle Logistics, SCM, Logistics, or Transportation Management.
- Experience: 7-10+ years of experience in logistics and a leadership position.
- Skills: Strong planning and organizing skills, ability to make prompt judgments and take decisive action, excellent problem-solving capabilities, comprehensive market understanding, and in-depth knowledge of vehicle logistics, distribution networks, and supply chain management.
- Responsibility: High level of responsibility and accountability for the outcomes of FVL operations.
- Critical Decision Making: Ability to make critical decisions under pressure, ensuring compliance with regulations and safety standards, and managing resources effectively to meet organizational goals.
