Job Overview

CATEGORY STRATEGY:
* Develop and sustain a comprehensive portfolio strategy aligned with business unit requirements, ensuring a well-balanced selection to mitigate risks and enhance supplier market positioning.
* Establish, execute, and periodically refresh a Sourcing List.
* Discover and onboard new potential suppliers as needs arise.
* Identify opportunities for value enhancement and oversee their implementation.
* Present and synchronize strategies with business unit stakeholders.

COMMERCIAL MANAGEMENT:
* Conduct all negotiations with category suppliers.
* Negotiate and uphold essential global contracts.
* Assist Advanced Purchasing in complex or challenging negotiations.
* Represent the business unit in supplier management.

ESCALATION SUPPORT:
* Provide assistance to Regional Purchasing for quality, supply, and commercial escalations.
* Perform market surveys for category investments within the region.
* Troubleshoot: Act as the next escalation level for plants facing supply issues (quality or delivery).

REPORTING:
* Communicate market conditions to stakeholders.
* Regularly report on category performance.
* Forecast anticipated price trends.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree; equivalent professional experience may be considered in exceptional cases.
* Minimum of 3 years in procurement, with at least 1 year in the automotive sector.
* Proficient in Purchasing Portfolio Management (Strategy, Supplier List, Market Knowledge, Portfolio Analysis, Forecasting) & Contractual Agreements.
* Experienced in negotiations: RFQ, offer analysis and comparison, negotiation tactics.
* Knowledgeable in Risk Management, including claims, finance, and legal aspects.
* Ability to collaborate effectively within a remote team.
* Project Management experience is advantageous.
* Leadership experience in functional or project settings is a plus.
* At least 3 years of exposure to international business environments.
* Experience living abroad is beneficial.
* Willingness to travel approximately 30% of the time.
