Lead Researcher in Computational Biology

Your Role
You will spearhead an independent research group focused on pioneering research to model intricate biological systems and their responses to various perturbations. The group will thrive in a highly interdisciplinary and collaborative environment, fostering numerous opportunities for engagement with other research teams.
We encourage applicants who are developing and applying AI-driven methodologies to tackle questions across diverse areas of genome biology. This encompasses, but is not limited to, model-based approaches for genome regulation (including transcription, translation, protein activity, and signaling), proteomics, genotype-phenotype relationships, exposome research, single-cell biology, multi-omics, and spatio-temporal biology. We seek candidates who envision integrating their computational expertise with experimental activities and facilities.

Substantial annual core funding for the duration of the appointment, access to exceptional Ph.D. students and post-doctoral researchers, along with minimal teaching obligations, will enable you to successfully lead a forward-thinking research program.

Research themes involve employing experimental, computational, and theoretical approaches to explore how cells and organisms interact and respond to environmental changes at various levels (molecules, cells, tissues, and populations). We are particularly interested in hosting computational initiatives that creatively and innovatively address these themes.

Candidate Profile
Applicants should present a concise research plan with original and ambitious goals. A strong Ph.D. and post-doctoral track record relevant to AI/Computational Biology, along with a keen interest in the broader field of genome biology, is essential. Candidates with a purely computational background in computer science, (bio)informatics/mathematics, engineering, or physics, who are eager to understand the molecular complexity of cells and its variations, are encouraged to apply.
