NVision Imaging Technologies is seeking an accomplished Head of Finance to join our dynamic team. As a thought partner to our leadership team, you will drive financial excellence, providing insightful recommendations through in-depth analysis and forward-thinking projections.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and manage the annual budget, ensuring alignment with company goals.
  • Prepare and present accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
  • Monitor and manage company cash flow, including forecasting and planning.
  • Ensure compliance with all local and international financial regulations.
  • Coordinate audits, ensuring that processes are documented and risks are managed.
  • Oversee the preparation of tax returns and ensure timely tax payments.
  • Conduct financial analysis to identify trends and opportunities for cost reduction.
  • Manage relationships with external auditors, banks, and financial institutions.
  • Lead and supervise the finance team.
  • Implement and maintain robust financial controls and procedures.
  • Support strategic decision-making with financial insights and data-driven recommendations.
Requirements:
  • Educational background in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in a senior financial leadership role, ideally as a Head of Finance, Finance Lead or similar.
  • Experience working in a tech startup or high-growth environment.
  • Demonstrated success in financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and strategic financial management.
  • Experience in managing financial operations, including invoicing, accounts payable/receivable, financial reporting, and tax.
  • Experience with financial systems and process optimization.
  • Deep understanding of financial analysis, financial modeling (Excel), and performance metrics.
  • Knowledge of German regulations, as well as international financial standards.
  • Leadership and team management abilities, with a proven track record of engaging and training teams.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex financial data and provide actionable insights.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong collaborative skills to work effectively with all departments to drive financial performance and support strategic initiatives.
  • Fluent in English and German.

About Us:

NVision Imaging Technologies is a quantum biotech startup based in Ulm, Germany, with Tier 1 investors from the USA and Europe. We are just leaving stealth mode, moving from local R&D to global commercialization and expansion.

We are developing a technology that will enable MRI-based imaging of real-time metabolism in the body, with tremendous potential for research and applications in oncology, cardiology, neurology and more. Our company brings together expertise in physics, chemistry, engineering and medicine, and we are collaborating with scientists and clinicians from top medical and research centers such as Memorial Sloan Kettering in New York, MD Anderson in Texas, Technical University of Munich, Cambridge University in the UK and more.

NVision is developing fast, robust and easy-to-use hyperpolarization technology for preclinical and clinical research in our Polaris product line. Those devices are placed close to an MRI scanner in a clinical environment or a research lab to produce hyperpolarized contrast agents on demand. The hyperpolarized solution is prepared in a fast, fully-automated, multi-step process including chemical reactions, polarization transfer and several purification steps. We develop our commercial products in close collaboration with a product development partner, while the process development as well as the design of test setups and prototypes is done in-house.
