About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Legal Research Officer to join our team at the Blockchain & Climate Institute. As a Legal Research Officer, you will play a critical role in supporting our mission to promote the adoption of blockchain technology in the fight against climate change.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct in-depth research on climate change-related legislation and regulation, as well as the intersection of blockchain technology and climate policy.
  • Engage with key stakeholders, including legislators, regulators, lawyers, and policymakers, to establish strategic partnerships and collaborations.
  • Develop and maintain rigorous methodologies for legal research projects, including the ability to meet tight deadlines and work independently.
  • Communicate research findings and insights through presentations, reports, and other materials.
Requirements
  • Strong knowledge of climate change policy, international environmental law, and blockchain technology.
  • Excellent research and analytical skills, with the ability to conduct independent research and analyze complex data.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Fluency in one of the following languages is desirable: Arabic, Chinese, French, Russian, or Spanish.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Master's degree in a relevant field, such as international environmental law, climate policy, or information technology law.
  • Proven experience working in a research or policy role, with a focus on climate change or blockchain technology.
  • Experience with academic and referencing tools, such as Mendeley.
