About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and innovative professional to join our team as a Senior Connectivity Engineer. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for developing and delivering premium connectivity and telematics solutions for next-generation lifestyle vehicles.

Key Responsibilities
  • Contribute to the development and delivery of complex E/E components for automotive applications.
  • Component ownership of the telematics ECU for global markets outside of China, ensuring timely, high-quality, and budget-friendly delivery.
  • Ensure carrier acceptance, certification, and conformance approval for target markets, as well as performance and support for test & validation activities, including field trials.
  • Drive issue resolution internally and with suppliers/partners, manage and steer multiple suppliers and sub-suppliers, and review, create, and maintain system, design, and component requirements.
  • Challenge technical content and product definition under performance and competitiveness aspects, identify gaps, propose improvement opportunities, and drive their implementation.
  • Ensure compliance with market-specific requirements and regulations (e.g., Europe, North America) and guarantee robust launch quality over the lifetime, fulfilling customer expectations.
  • Support the product owner for eCall, bCall/roadside assistance, and stolen vehicle tracking to develop, deliver, and roll out services in line with local market requirements.
  • Perform benchmark activities, analyze market and technology trends, and present conclusions to leadership.
Requirements
  • Degree in telecommunications, computer science, electrical engineering, or a related field.
  • Minimum 5 years of working experience in connectivity and/or telematics, preferably at an automotive OEM or Tier 1.
  • Experience developing and delivering complex E/E components for automotive applications.
  • Technical expertise within one or multiple of the following areas: network access devices and modem technologies, mobile networks (2G/3G/4G/5G) for voice and data services, SIM/MNO management, eSIM/SIM end-end connectivity, and infrastructure aspects.
  • Familiarity with E/E architecture concepts and in-vehicle network technologies (CAN, Ethernet) as well as E/E development tools (e.g., Vector CANoe, Diagnostic Tools, data loggers).
  • Driving license and willingness to travel occasionally.
  • Fluent English.
