In this role, you will be instrumental in the design, development, and execution of advanced electronic systems tailored for our pioneering medical robotic technologies. This position provides a unique chance to contribute to transformative solutions that support healthcare professionals and elevate patient care.
Key Responsibilities:
- System Design: Spearhead the conceptualization and architecture of electronic systems for our medical robotic platforms, focusing on performance, safety, reliability, and manufacturability.
- Collaborative Development: Work closely with diverse teams, including mechanical engineers, software developers, and clinical specialists, to ensure effective integration within the overall robotic framework.
- Requirements Definition: Analyze and define electronic requirements based on product specifications and compliance standards, translating them into effective design solutions.
- Component Research: Investigate and select electronic components, sensors, processors, and other hardware that align with system requirements and the company’s technological vision.
- Hardware Oversight: Supervise the development of electronic hardware, encompassing schematic design, PCB layout, and prototype testing, while adhering to safety and regulatory guidelines.
- Risk Assessment: Identify potential risks in electronics design and implement strategies to mitigate them, ensuring product reliability and safety.
- Testing and Validation: Collaborate with testing teams to create testing protocols, conduct functional tests, and analyze results to confirm the performance and reliability of electronic systems.
- Documentation: Produce detailed documentation, including design specifications, testing plans, and reports, to support product development and regulatory compliance.
- Technology Advancement: Stay informed about the latest developments in electronics and medical robotics, applying relevant technologies to enhance product capabilities.
Your Profile
- Master's or PhD in Electrical Engineering, Electronics, Robotics, or a related discipline.
- Extensive experience (5-10 years) in electronics architecture, design, and development, preferably within the medical device or robotics sectors.
- Proficient in electronic design tools, simulation software, and PCB design applications.
- Expertise in sensor integration, circuit design (both analog and digital), power management, and signal processing.
- Familiarity with safety and regulatory standards applicable to medical devices.
- Strong analytical skills, capable of tackling complex technical challenges and optimizing designs for enhanced performance.
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities, fostering effective collaboration across multidisciplinary teams.
- Experience with embedded systems, FPGA programming, and real-time operating systems is advantageous.
- Fluency in English and German is required.
