Technical Consultant

About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled Technical Consultant to join our team at weisstechnik. As a Technical Consultant, you will be responsible for the installation, administration, and operation of server, storage, and backup systems in our data centers worldwide, as well as in the cloud.

Key Responsibilities:

• Installation, administration, and operation of server, storage, and backup systems in our data centers worldwide, as well as in the cloud
• IT management and operations, including automation/scripting, update management, monitoring, and health checks
• Monitoring of cloud and on-premise IT infrastructures and identification of risks, vulnerabilities, and threats
• Participation and leadership of IT infrastructure projects
• Creation of concepts and documentation
• Analysis and resolution of disruptions (2- and 3-level support)
• Consultation and support of the business department and IT teams on technical issues
• Implementation of IT security measures

Requirements:

• A successful completion of a degree in computer science or a related field, or a comparable qualification
• Excellent knowledge of Windows, Linux, Active Directory Services, Microsoft Azure (IaaS and PaaS), and virtualization with VMware
• Several years of experience in operating heterogeneous IT infrastructures in the RZ environment
• A good understanding of IT security, scripting, and automation (e.g., PowerShell, Terraform) and IT service management according to ITIL
• Initiative, analytical thinking, communication skills, team skills, and a high level of service awareness
• Excellent German and English language skills
