Your Responsibilities
  • Oversee multiple major direct material categories and lead global commodity teams with members from all relevant locations.
  • Develop and implement strategic action plans for material groups, including analysis, planning, and supplier management.
  • Gather information from vendors and suppliers regarding costs, ordering procedures, and returns while maintaining strong relationships.
  • Achieve group savings targets for assigned material categories and execute agreed strategies across all locations.
  • Conduct group negotiations with suppliers in coordination with various locations.
  • Develop existing supplier relationships and identify new suppliers as necessary.
  • Act as the escalation point for local units regarding supplier issues.
  • Monitor supplier performance using key performance indicators (KPIs) such as on-time delivery and quality.
  • Deliver results related to costs, payment terms, on-time delivery, and quality metrics.
  • Provide consultancy to procurement organizations to facilitate the introduction of new suppliers.
  • Assist in supplier validation audits as needed.
  • Prepare reports and present progress during project meetings.
  • Conduct benchmarking studies to identify best practices and future trends.
  • Perform budget analysis and prepare reports for management.
  • Manage claims with vendors and develop appropriate settlement plans.
Your Qualifications
  • Several years of experience as a Lead Buyer or in leading cross-functional teams within the industrial sector, preferably in the transformer industry.
  • A degree in industrial engineering, business administration, or a related field.
  • Exceptional analytical, project management, and process management skills, along with strong self-organization and prioritization abilities.
  • Fluency in English, with experience in negotiations and proficiency in Microsoft Office.
  • Willingness to travel up to 30% of the time.
