The Role: Master Thesis in Software Development Productivity
We are seeking a highly motivated Diploma Student to contribute to our team by conducting a master thesis focused on software development productivity. Your research will delve into existing models for defining, measuring, and predicting development productivity within the software industry.
Key Responsibilities:
- Research and compare various models used to define, measure, and predict software development productivity.
- Analyze how enterprise software companies approach development productivity, identifying their priorities, focus areas, and investment topics. Compare these approaches with SAP's Hyperspace offering.
- Investigate the DORA metrics as a leading model for software delivery performance in the enterprise software market. Analyze the correlation between software delivery performance and business performance (product and company).
- Explore different governance models that drive improvements in software delivery performance, including enforcement, coaching/enablement, and empowerment with outcome targets. Examine the role of continuous improvement as an approach to enhance software delivery performance and analyze investments into engineering tech teams for both enforcement and coaching/enablement.
Qualifications:
- Enrolled student at a university or university of applied sciences.
- Preferred field of study: Software Engineering.
- Strong analytical and research skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
