Particle Accelerator Scientist

The selected individual will oversee various components related to the design and functionality of the PETRA IV facility, including:
- Creation of software for the initiation of the PETRA IV system
- Design of beam optics for the primary ring and injectors of PETRA IV
- Validation of innovative algorithms and tools at PETRA III while aiding in its operation
- Investigations into beam dynamics for PETRA IV

Candidate Profile:- PhD in physics, engineering, mathematics, computer science, or a related discipline, or equivalent expertise and experience
- Significant experience in storage ring beam dynamics
- Knowledge of electron optics correction techniques
- Strong foundation in computing and software development
- Proficient programming skills, preferably in Python and C++
- Effective communication abilities
