We are seeking a highly skilled System Architect to join our team at Westchester Veterinary Center and Cat Clinic. As a System Architect in Industrial Automation: Drives Design and Development, you will be responsible for leading the development of drives design architecture for various industrial automation applications.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and implement drives design architecture for Brushed DC, Brushless 2&3 phase DC, linear motors, phased stepper motors.
- Design and develop hardware components, including FPGAs, IGBTS, FET's, ASIC, and power circuitry to realize the drive system.
- Guide the design of power electronics, signal processing, processors, and switching power supplies.
- Drive the circuit design and ensure the success of the drive system.
- Develop knowledge on power electronics at high frequency switching, filters design, signal processing of different sensors, and test electronics.
- Design and develop hardware and signal processing of Feedback Systems, including AquadB, SinCos, HallSensors, BiSS-C, and EnDat.
- Propose innovative solutions to the team and collaborate with lead research institutes and technology companies on new drive concept development.
- Research emerging technologies and generate a technology roadmap.
- Develop knowledge on bus topologies, including EtherCAT, CanOpen, and Profibus.
- Bachelor's/Master's/Ph.D. in Engineering (Mechanical/Electrical/Mechatronics) or relevant discipline with many years of industry experience.
- Experience in development of motor drive systems in precision automation motion control.
- Successfully completed design of drive systems.
- Embedded programming experience related to FPGA, Microcontrollers, ASIC (nice to have).
- High-level programming experience (C/C++).
- Knowledge on drive tuning and implementation of motion profiles.
- Fluent in written and spoken English.
