Academic Position in Spatial Conception and Design

We are seeking a highly qualified individual to fill the position of University Professor in Spatial Conception and Design at the Department of Architecture in Faculty II: School of Education, Architecture and the Arts.
ResponsibilitiesThe successful candidate will be responsible for representing the denomination across the entire spectrum of teaching and research. This includes teaching compulsory and elective modules for spatial conception and design, as well as design studios and thesis projects in the Bachelor's and Master's degree programs. Research activities in the field of spatial conception are also expected, with a particular commitment to national and international cooperation and interdisciplinary projects within the Faculty of Education · Architecture · Arts.
The professorship pursues a critical spatial practice that examines temporary and transformative spaces, situational and multi-talented spaces as well as power relations and appropriation strategies. The spatial effect and expression of interior, open and urban spaces and their relations to each other are assessed and discussed.
RequirementsThe ideal candidate will have a strong background in designing architecture and extensive experience in analyzing complex building assignments in their functional, cultural and artistic dimensions. They will also have sound knowledge and experience in spatial conception and design applying analog and digital design tools. Research activities and experience in raising external funding are desired, as well as intercultural skills.
