Position Overview

As an Automation Specialist at MKS Instruments Deutschland GmbH, you will be an integral part of an international team dedicated to the development and design of innovative solutions for chemical surface treatment and automation technologies.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct feasibility studies with both technical and economic assessments.
  • Plan and execute experiments, along with the preparation of comprehensive reports and documentation.
  • Evaluate, qualify, and assess components and systems, ensuring their integration into chemical process systems and automation.
  • Drive the technical and economic advancement of existing systems.
  • Support and execute schematic design tasks (E3).
  • Create specifications, as well as requirements and functional specifications for technical systems and software development.
  • Collaborate with the international team to find solutions for varying customer requirements and internal tech center needs.
  • Engage in close global collaboration with interdisciplinary expert groups to deliver outstanding results for our clients.
Qualifications

The ideal candidate will possess:

  • A results-oriented and customer-focused mindset, coupled with a passion for innovative research and development.
  • A willingness to learn and adapt to changes.
  • Strong teamwork skills combined with a hands-on approach.
  • Excellent communication abilities in both German and English.
  • Initial experience in handling various substrates, such as glass.
  • Applied knowledge in project management, FMEA, and risk analysis.
  • Preferably experience in the design, development, and characterization of chemical process systems.
  • Proficiency in schematic design software and basic programming tasks with small controllers.
  • A high degree of flexibility and willingness to travel.
  • A degree in Automation, Information Technology, Electrical Engineering, or a comparable qualification.
