Join the PENNY Group Purchasing team, which oversees the procurement operations for PENNY in Germany. Together, we aim to enhance our success and strategically advance our purchasing activities. As a vital member of our strategic procurement team, you will be part of a dynamic group that enthusiastically tackles exciting and ever-evolving challenges. In addition to brand purchasing, we also manage the private label procurement for PENNY. As a Purchasing Specialist, you will collaborate closely with your Senior Buyer. Depending on your previous experience, you will support the Senior Buyer and quickly take on your own responsibilities, including independent negotiations. There will also be opportunities to participate in exciting projects, such as those focused on sustainability, allowing for personal growth.

  • You will engage in procurement activities at the supplier, sourcing, and quality levels, supporting the Senior Buyer in all purchasing activities as needed.
  • You will independently conduct tenders, supplier negotiations, annual discussions, and tastings.
  • Your analytical skills will be put to use through market observation and analysis of competitors regarding product ranges and market prices, including trend scouting to identify product innovations.
  • You will be responsible for developing and implementing measures for assortment and price optimization.
  • You will ensure comprehensive oversight: Together with the team assistants, you will maintain all data (master data, conditions, sales-relevant data) and ensure product availability.
  • You will serve as a knowledgeable point of contact, ensuring regular and thorough communication with internal and external stakeholders.
  • You will take responsibility for the management and development of new products within the brand and private label, such as REWE Fine World, across both REWE and PENNY.
