About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Fullstack Developer to join our Client Access & Digital Experience team at Deutsche Bank Aktiengesellschaft.

As a Lead/Senior Fullstack Developer, you will play a crucial role in shaping the visual and interactive elements of our complex web applications. You will be part of a team of fullstack developers, collaborating closely with UX/UI designers, Front-end, back-end developers, product owners and project managers to deliver high-quality, scalable, and innovative frontend solutions.

Your Key Responsibilities

  • You will be autonomously implementing new React features in our web application, handling relationships with backend developers and API design where applicable.
  • You will interact and communicate daily with the Design team to provide solid and accessible UX.
  • You will be involved in design decisions about the future of the application and the platform.
  • As a senior developer, you will also be part of our efforts to improve the general quality of our code, testing new technology, mentoring less senior team members, and implementing SDLC best practices.

Your Skills and Experience

  • Proven expertise in fullstack development, including Java, Spring Boot, ORM, and cloud experience with GCP. Knowledge of other libraries and backend architecture is a bonus.
  • Proficiency in semantic HTML, modern CSS, and common security threats (OWASP Top 10).
  • Proficiency in GCP, Java 8+, ORM framework, databases, and DevOps knowledge.
  • Expert-level knowledge of JUnit, Java 8-17, Spring Boot, and callback function mechanisms.
  • Experience with microservices and REST APIs development.
  • Expert-level JavaScript knowledge (vanilla and DOM) and proficiency in TypeScript.
  • Experience with asynchronous programming and web networking concepts.
  • Familiarity with Web Accessibility (WCAG 2.x specifications).
  • Verifiable Open Source contributions and involvement in the frontend community are a plus.
  • Robust English communication skills, both written and spoken.
  • Understanding of UX/UI design principles and collaboration with design teams.
