Job Title: Legal Manager

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Legal Manager to join our team at Coproduction Office in Berlin and Paris. As a Legal Manager, you will be responsible for providing legal support to our Sales and Production teams, as well as our founder Philippe Bober.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Draw up sales contracts and negotiate directly with clients
  • Negotiate external contracts with platforms, TVs, and other external parties
  • Update internal sales contract templates to adapt to changes in international audiovisual law
  • Supervise international releases in accordance with negotiated holdbacks
  • Acquire new films and manage existing titles
  • Work with the production department on coproduction contracts, author rights, and actor contracts
  • General oversight of legal aspects of production, including subsidies contracts, grant conventions, and broadcasters coproductions
  • Supervise client royalties reporting
  • Grants and supports for sales and production
Requirements:
  • Fluent in English and either German or French
  • Master's degree in law and intellectual property or further education in law
  • 3+ years of relevant professional experience in a legal department of a production or sales company
  • Solid understanding of international audiovisual law
  • Perfectionist with high attention to detail and meeting deadlines
  • Precise, proficient with Excel, and flexible
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work with people of various nationalities
