Senior Financial Accountant / Chief Accountant (m/f/d)

Schwertfels Consulting GmbH is seeking a skilled Senior Financial Accountant / Chief Accountant to manage comprehensive accounting functions by overseeing and validating our financial transactions. Your role will encompass reconciling account balances and statements, maintaining the general ledger, and executing month-end closing processes. As a proficient accountant, you will merge exceptional analytical abilities with a solid understanding of accounting standards to evaluate financial reports and forecasts. Additionally, you will have experience in collaborating with or supervising a team of accountants and junior accountants. Your responsibilities will also include ensuring the precision and efficiency of all accounting operations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Review, allocate, post, and reconcile financial liabilities and receivables
  • Generate accurate accounting reports and communicate findings
  • Analyze financial data and summarize overall financial condition
  • Supervise accounting assistants and junior accountants
  • Support monthly and annual closing activities
  • Engage in digital transformation initiatives and the preparation of travel expense reports

Qualifications

  • A completed degree (Bachelor's or Master's) in Taxation or Accounting or equivalent training as an accountant
  • Several years of relevant professional experience in Tax & Accounting
  • Proficiency in SAP FI/CO and MS Office is essential
  • Strong command of English is required for collaboration with international colleagues
  • A keen interest in new challenges and a commitment to ongoing professional development
