Your Role and Responsibilities
- You will be an integral part of the central procurement division, focusing on planning and construction services.
- Your responsibilities will include sourcing construction services for new builds and renovations, specifically targeting the German market, while overseeing global construction initiatives.
- Engagement in bidding processes and the preparation of cost assessments will also be part of your duties.
- Your procurement activities will encompass a comprehensive range of services, from architects and planners to construction firms.
- You will conduct thorough market research to identify and evaluate potential service providers.
- Additionally, you will collaborate closely with technical teams to analyze, develop, and implement tender documents and contract strategies.
Qualifications and Skills
- A degree in Engineering (such as industrial engineering, civil engineering, or architecture) is required.
- Several years of professional experience in procurement as a client representative for planning and construction services is essential.
- Alternatively, experience within the construction sector (as an architect, civil engineer, or planner) with extensive knowledge of HOAI service phases 6 and 7 will be considered.
- A foundational understanding of railway infrastructure, particularly in track construction and overhead line systems, is advantageous.
- Proficiency in both German and English is necessary, along with a willingness to travel approximately 20-30% of the time.
