Mechanical and Sanitary Systems Engineer

U.S. Army Europe and Africa seeks a skilled Mechanical and Sanitary Systems Engineer to join our team
In this role, you will be responsible for the design, maintenance, and improvement of mechanical systems within our facilities. Your expertise will ensure the smooth operation of critical infrastructure, including heating, ventilation, air conditioning, water distribution, sewage, and refrigeration systems.
Your Responsibilities:- Develop comprehensive plans and specifications for mechanical projects, encompassing repairs, upgrades, and new installations.
- Conduct thorough site surveys and inspections to assess existing systems and identify potential issues.
- Analyze mechanical requirements and propose solutions that meet functional needs and budgetary constraints.
- Prepare detailed engineering designs, cost estimates, and project schedules.
- Collaborate with contractors and stakeholders to ensure projects are executed efficiently and effectively.
- Monitor contractor performance and ensure adherence to contract specifications and quality standards.
- Provide technical expertise and guidance on a wide range of mechanical systems.
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- A recognized engineering degree from a reputable institution.
- Proven experience in the design and maintenance of mechanical systems.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in relevant software applications.
Fluency in both English and German is highly desirable.
