About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced District Sales Manager to join our team at Medtronic. As a key member of our sales team, you will be responsible for driving sales and profit growth in the Northern Germany region.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement business strategies to achieve sales targets and increase market share.
  • Manage and motivate a sales team to implement the organization's overall sales strategy for the assigned region.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key account personnel and relevant functions to support selling, market development, service efforts, and clinical programs.
  • Identify opportunities and develop new programs to meet the organization's sales plans and increase market share.
  • Assess the need for new selling programs and processes, conduct competitive analysis, and implement strategies.
  • Coach sales representatives on the technical aspects of our products and services, marketing campaigns, sales promotions, and sales techniques, procedures, and standards.
  • Take responsibility for business reviews and forecasting.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree required.
  • At least 5 years of relevant sales experience or university degree with at least 3 years of relevant sales and management experience.
  • Very good German and very good written and spoken English skills.
  • Structured working style and experience in project management.
  • Absolute goal orientation, high level of commitment, and solution orientation.
  • Strong ability to promote, develop, and motivate employees.
  • Ability to work under pressure, flexibility, and openness to change.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in the medical device or pharmaceutical industry.
  • Very good MS Office and IT skills.
  • High willingness to travel.
  • Used to matrix structures in a corporate group.
