Job Title: Project Developer

Originator and Project Developer for Wind and Photovoltaic Projects (Germany)

Petroplan (Supporting a Leading Renewable Energy Client)

Location:

Berlin, Germany (Remote work possible with at least two days presence in the office, if no other site trips are required)

Serving approximately 30 million customers globally, they are a major player in the international energy market. The company operates several prominent subsidiaries and holds the title of the largest global producer of renewable energy source.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Identify suitable project areas, negotiate with landowners, and acquire land for renewable energy projects
  2. Oversee the development of wind and photovoltaic projects and manage coordination with external development partners
  3. Negotiate and assist in drafting leasing, utilization, design, and urban development contracts with landowners and authorities, leveraging support from legal and technical teams
  4. Represent the company, promote the project, and obtain necessary commitments
Requirements:
  1. Several years of professional experience in the development and acquisition of onshore wind and/or photovoltaic projects in the German market
  2. Extensive network in the wind and solar industry with excellent knowledge of the market situation in Germany, particularly in Berlin, Brandenburg, Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania, Saxony, and Saxony-Anhalt
  3. Sound experience in evaluating wind and/or photovoltaic projects across all development phases
  4. Native German and fluent in English; Spanish language skills are a plus
