Mechatronics Engineer

At SUSS MicroTec Solutions GmbH und Co. KG, we offer a 3.5-year apprenticeship program in mechatronics. You will alternate between theoretical studies at the vocational school in Munich and practical training in our workshop in Garching.

In the first year, you will learn the basics of mechanical engineering, including turning and milling in our internal training workshop. You will also gain knowledge in electronics (control systems, sensors, and automation technology) and pneumatics.

In the second year, you will apply the knowledge you gained in the first year and deepen your understanding of mechatronics. You will design and build an electrical system, which you will then program and assemble.

In the third year, you will gain a comprehensive understanding of our production process. You will work on complex projects, including the assembly of mechanical, electrical, and optical components, and the integration of robots into our production line.

In the fourth year, you will prepare for your final exam and review all the topics you have learned during your apprenticeship.
