Role Overview
As a VAT Compliance Specialist, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the precise and timely submission of VAT returns, advance VAT returns, recapitulative statements, Intrastat returns, and the associated accounting entries.
Key Responsibilities
- Optimize the technical applications utilized, including Tax Compliance Management.
- Drive the automation of existing workflows and leverage your creativity to establish new processes.
- Collaborate directly with sales tax experts and finance professionals from BASF Group companies, as well as IT specialists.
Qualifications
- A degree in economics with a focus on taxation or equivalent training as a tax assistant.
- Ideally, some professional experience in sales tax or financial accounting, or a strong willingness to learn about these areas.
- Proficient understanding of automated processes and advanced skills in MS Excel.
- Practical experience with SAP R/3 or S4 HANA is advantageous.
- Strong communication skills in German or English; proficiency in additional European languages is a plus.
