Senior Manager (m/f/d) Pricing and Steering - TM Latin America - Asia
Full Time About Hapag-Lloyd
Hapag-Lloyd stands as a prominent player in the global liner shipping industry, boasting a modern fleet of container vessels with a total transport capacity of 11.9 million TEU. The company operates within the Liner Shipping sector, employing around 13,000 professionals across various countries. With a substantial container capacity, including one of the largest fleets of reefer containers, Hapag-Lloyd ensures swift and reliable connections through its extensive network of liner services, reaching over 400 ports worldwide. In the Terminal & Infrastructure segment, Hapag-Lloyd holds stakes in 20 terminals across Europe, Latin America, the United States, India, and North Africa, supported by approximately 2,000 employees dedicated to terminal operations and complementary logistics services.
Key Responsibilities:
Serve as a subject-matter expert, actively participating in meetings and projects that influence critical processes and policies within Trade Management. Assume responsibility for high-level contracting and pricing decisions. Lead a team within the Trade Management department. Prepare materials for board meetings, budget discussions, or REM meetings. Coordinate the Budget / FC process in close collaboration with the director. Develop pricing guidelines by analyzing market trends, competitor behavior, contribution margins, and utilization of ship systems, leveraging available business systems (QlikView) and market insights from commercial teams. Conduct structured analysis of key performance indicators to optimize pricing strategies aimed at maximizing profits while ensuring full utilization across various sales channels and internal processes. Manage revenue for different cargo types (dry, reefer, special, dangerous goods) and steer operations towards achieving targets. Prepare APM calls with relevant areas, ensuring performance-driven dialogue. Collaborate with Cargo Control to allocate slots on individual ship systems for customers and coordinate with other Trade Management departments.Candidate Profile:
Several years of professional experience in shipping, forwarding, or logistics. Experience in Trade Management and/or Sales. Possess an analytical, systematic, and efficient working style. Ability to inspire and motivate team members. Excellent communication skills. Strong understanding of operational processes within the transportation sector. Proficient in written and spoken English; proficiency in Spanish and Portuguese is a plus. Advanced knowledge of IT systems including QlikView, FIS, Excel, and PowerPoint.Contact person
