Job Summary
As a Chemical Engineer or Materials Scientist at ARRK, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the quality and compliance of materials used in automotive development. Your expertise will be essential in creating, reviewing, and approving IMDS material data sheets, analyzing and evaluating material data, and providing technical support to customers.
Key Responsibilities
- Material Data Management: Create, review, and approve IMDS material data sheets according to internal standards and international laws.
- Material Analysis and Evaluation: Analyze and evaluate material data for legal and safety-related chemical substances based on the IMDS, presenting the results in a clear format to customers.
- Vehicle Bill of Materials: Create and evaluate vehicle bill of materials, obtaining missing material data from the supply chain, and tracking deadlines for requested information.
- Technical Support: Provide technical support on IMDS and material prohibitions to OEMs and suppliers through a helpdesk, and be a technical contact and advisor for customers on material prohibition issues.
- Life Cycle Assessments: Assist with life cycle assessments of various vehicles as needed.
- Reporting and Documentation: Prepare reports, overviews, and project-specific presentations as part of daily operations, and document procedures and latest findings.
- Continuous Improvement: Continuously improve workflow and knowledge transfer within the team.
Requirements
- Education: Successful completion of studies in Chemistry, Materials Science, Materials Engineering, Vehicle Design, Mechanical Engineering, Environmental Management, or a solid technical education with relevant work experience.
- Practical Knowledge: Practical knowledge of material management, IMDS, and material prohibitions.
